JENNY BRAILEY TALK

THURSDAY 08.05.08 (7pm)

Trinity College Junior Palour

In 2007 Jenny Bailey became the first transgender mayor in Britain, perhaps

even the world. The story hit headlines across Britain and even reached the

media in the States, and yet Jenny has always maintained that sexuality,

and her gender reasignment, does not define her. Jenny wishes to be seen as

an engineer, a woman and a parent, and always hoped that what she had been

through in the past would not eclipse her time as mayor.

Jenny has been kind enough to agree to give a talk in Trinity College on

'My year as Mayor'. The talk will take an informal setting with plenty of

oppotunity to ask questions.

Please all feel free to come along, and bring friends. There will, as

always, be free wine and juice.

GAY PARENTING TALK

SATURDAY 10.05.08 (7pm)

OCR, Trinity College

Out For Our Children is a group of London lesbian parents producing books

and resources that reflect our children's lives and family experiences. A

child needs love, support and acceptance for who they are and where they

come from: we believe that inclusive books and other materials are an

essential part of that support.

Several members of the group Out For Our Children have kindly agreed to

come and talk about their work in the group, and their experiences as gay

parents. The talk will be followed by a Q&A, so its good chance to ask all

the things you've ever wondered about being gay and having kids. Feel free

to bring your mothers- chance to prove to them that they might still get

grandchildren!
