Women

"In this world so void of love, who am I to condemn what little remains?" - Mahatma Gandhi

In the LBGT community, women seem to be a minority. Whether this is due to personal interest or other factors is debatable. One thing is certain, however: women enjoy the company of other women. So, as Women's Officer, I am aiming to give support to, and represent, everyone who self-defines as a woman, and to give everyone, regardless of their sexuality, the opportunity to meet with like-minded people in a safe and comfortable environment. If you have any ideas for socials, need to chat, or just want to come along to any LBGT events for a laugh, we hope to see you soon!

BLUE

The easiest way to get involved with the Bisexual and Lesbian women in the university is to sign up to BLUE, one of the LBGT mailing lists, which is specifically for lesbian and bisexual women. It is totally confidential, and unless you write to the list, the only person who need know you’re on the email list is yourself and the list manager. On the list, we can discuss issues that are relevant to us and ask for advice from those who have experienced the same kind of difficulties.

What’s On

There are plenty of LBGT events going on all year round - an ideal opportunity to meet other LBGT women.
