As Women's Officer, my main jobs are to represent LBT women in Cambridge to the Exec, and to provide support for all those who may need it. Cambridge is a very accepting place and a great place to be out, but if you have any doubts, concerns or problems, don't hesitate to email me and I will be more than happy to arrange to meet up, or to correspond via email. I will provide information, support, company, and comfort food to all those in need of it.

All conversations and communications are of course strictly confidential so there's no need to worry!

Every Wednesday I run Womens coffee at a local Cafe which is a great chance to meet new people. I also run regular film nights showing lesbian films and pre-fusion drinks on Tuesdays. So far they have been a success with many more people turning up each week. It's always good to see new faces. If you're interested in coming along to something but don't know anyone that's going, I'll be more than happy to meet up with you beforehand and introduce you to everyone - I know just how daunting these things can be!

One of my main aims this year is to try and encourage more women to attend events. So far this has been happening and I hope that it will continue throughout the year. I think it is important for there to be more non scene events so that women can meet each other and actually get the chance to talk. Ideas for later in the year include a BBQ, trips to Brighton, meals out, trips to London, the Pink festival and many more!

I'd really appreciate your feedback, suggestions and ideas for women's events so feel free to email me with your ideas!

Also if you want to keep up to date with what's going on just email me to join the BLUE email list. I send out regular updates to the list with what women's events are going on in Cambridge and also discussions which may be of interest.

Hope to see you soon!
